Camp Counselors
Ross Point has been blessed with incredible volunteer staff for our summer youth camps over the years. In addition to our volunteer staff, we are striving to hire 8 counselors (4 male and 4 female positions), that will serve at our 4 youth camps for the 2011 camping season. These 8 counselors will work in conjunction with the volunteer staff. After their time is concluded at Ross Point, they will then have the option to continue on at several other camps in the region Camp Burton, Camp Bethel and possibly one or two other camps.
We are looking for college students and beyond that are dedicated to Jesus Christ and serving Him. Applicants must be a minimum of 20 years old. No previous experience is needed as we will provide the necessary training. The counselors will have the opportunity to work with 2nd grade through high school students. The ministry provides $250 a week plus room and board.
The dates for counseling at Ross Point are June 12-July 6. The full summer runs through August 17th.
Summer Staff
We will also be hiring up to 9 people for our summer staff. We seek people who are committed to Christian values, enjoy working with people and are able to work the entire summer on our staff. By doing this, our groups are assured of a quality experience at Ross Point. We will be hiring people for lifeguards, recreation assistant, kitchen assistants, dining room hostess, groundskeeper, dishwasher, and assistant cooks.
Ross Point is looking for an individual to join the Summer Staff as a Program Intern. Many colleges will give credit for an internship. The responsibilities of the program intern would be to fulfill daily scheduled guest services such as housekeeping and maintenance, provide leadership, supervision, and assistance with organized recreational activities, support and encourage the summer staff in their work, enforce camp safety rules and assist with general camp needs. If you desire to be involved in Christian camping and outdoor ministry as a possible career and are at least 20 years old, please contact the office. You must be mature and have an open and positive rapport with people of all ages, committed to Christian values, and able to lead others by example.

It is a marvelous opportunity to use God-given gifts and abilities in a manner that serves hundreds of people. Staff housing is available on site for the summer. Summer Staff participate in daily devotions and a weekly worship and Bible study.

The summer season is 11 weeks long from mid June through the third week in August. Staff training occurs before campers arrive and continues throughout the summer.
