Youth Retreats

Two retreats for youth grades 6th through 12th are provided each year, one in late fall and one in the spring.  Ross Point youth retreats have a trained staff plus a counselor to camper ratio of 1:5. This ensures your child the attention and care they need for a lifetime of great retreat memories.

Our retreats are careful to provide grade/age appropriate activities, games, lessons, and speakers.

Ross Point camp programs provide activities that are enjoyable and challenging. Activities may include: Outdoor Games ~ Campfire ~ Miniature Golf ~ Singing ~ Crafts ~ Devotions ~ Karaoke ~ Basketball

What to Bring (and not to):  Bring warm, casual clothing (be prepared for outdoor and recreational activities), sleeping bag and pillow, towels, toiletries, your Bible and notebook, and expectations for an awesome weekend.  Please leave behind watches, phones and other electronic devices.  Let’s make this a cell phone free weekend!

Directors: Hua Ming Newman along with Adam and Shyanne Tveit

From Hua Ming-Hey everyone! I’m thrilled to be directing this year’s Spring Retreat. I’ve had the privilege of directing camps at Ross Point for a few years now, and each one has been an amazing and rewarding experience A little about me: I serve as the Youth and Children’s Director and Head of Technology at Palouse Federated Church. I’m also a school bus driver for our local school and a Firefighter/EMT for Palouse and Colfax. In my free time, I love playing ice hockey, and one of my favorite Bible verses is Romans 12:21: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” I’m so excited to meet all of you and spend the weekend together. I know it’s going to be a time of fun, growth, and experiencing God in incredible ways. Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Adam and Shyanne have been married since October of 2022, meeting in youth group around 2012 and now they are the youth leaders in their church! They believe that youth group and camp can make lasting impacts on a teen’s life. When they aren’t serving at their church or camp, they like to go on road trips, and go camping, exploring Gods creation all around the Inland Northwest.

Theme: God’s Transformers

Verse: Romans 12:2

God shows us, in His word, that there will be transformational work through coming to know Jesus. A transformer is one who is renewed by the work of the Holy Spirit. Someone who is learning and living out God’s glorious ways.
