Summer Program Staff – Summary
Summer Programming Staff members are responsible for the activities and fun-filled experiences guests have at Ross Point. They also oversee the well-being of student campers who attend during the weeks of Ross Point-hosted summer camp sessions—providing servant leadership, applying teamwork, and building authentic relationships so each camper and guest can experience an unforgettable time and walk away changed. Doing so through Ross Point’s mission of glorifying God by offering a haven for engaging, encouraging, and equipping through Christ-centered hospitality.”
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead campers and assist other summer staff in safety, culture, efficiency, and spiritual growth. Every position has an area of ownership they are directly responsible for, but may be asked to lead and serve in other areas of camp as needed.
- Spiritual Mentorship: Mentor campers, answer questions about Christianity, and conduct themselves in a way consistent with the Ross Points Camps Values and Statements of Faith.
- Recreation and Program: Assist in recreation and program areas as needed, including games, skits, songs, ropes courses, climbing walls, archery, waterfront, lifeguarding, and other general activities.
- Guest Service: Assist with hosting guest groups, meal preparation and serving, housekeeping, and other guest service needs throughout the week.
Position Details
- Time: Seasonal contract, May – September (3-week minimum requirement)
- Salary: Paid $450 – $500 per week (DOE)

Guest Services Staff (Housekeeping)
- Minimum 14 years old
- Physically able to complete cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing of surfaces
- Good emotional and spiritual health
- Works well with others
- Starting Wage $16.70 an hour
Food Services Staff
- Minimum 14 years old
- Physically able to complete kitchen tasks such as dishes, food prep, and table setting.
